TS_NONPROFIT_DATA-02.jpgThe fabric of any strong community is that people are able to live where they work and be a part of their community. This is a value that is the heart of Summit County and we are committed to helping working families live comfortably by supporting a variety of efforts to help mitigate our high cost of living and preserve the quality of life we all enjoy.

As the largest philanthropic organization in Summit County, we are proud to collaborate with our local community partners to make a difference in our community. We do this by investing in nonprofits with our grants, offering additional free technical assistance through our NRG program, and connecting our donors so they can help directly with community needs.

TS_NONPROFIT_DATA-03.jpgWe are proud to invest in our community partners by providing grants to local nonprofit organizations in Summit County and our neighboring communities of Lake, Park and West Grand Counties. Nonprofits may apply for a grant from The Summit Foundation once per year, and applications are accepted through our online grant application. You can find our grant guidelines and the application here.

The Global Giving Fund was started in 2015 by former Foundation Trustee and community philanthropist Rob Millisor. The Fund allows support for groups of Summit County volunteers who are involved in international humanitarian efforts. We know that these experiences can be life-changing and ultimately have an impact on our local community by encouraging volunteerism and further developing professional skills.

We encourage Summit County residents who are actively volunteering on an international project to consider applying to the Global Giving Fund for support. Applications are accepted throughout the year, but must be submitted a minimum of two weeks prior to the start of the project. Visit this page for more details on qualifications and to submit an application.
