Colorado Fourteeners Initiative recognizes The Summit Foundation as their 2016 Foundation Partner of the Year

As a partner to Colorado Fourteeners Initiative (CFI) for the past 14 years, The Summit Foundation has contributed more than $120,000 to support CFI's volunteer trail stewardship efforts on 14er peaks in Summit County and neighboring Park and Lake Counties.

In 2016, The Foundation's funding to CFI played a crucial role in hiring a two-person fixed site crew, hosting 14 stewardship projects that engaged 234 individual volunteers, and continuing the collection of hiking use data on Quandary Peak.

The Summit Foundation is proud of the great work CFI is doing in our mountain communities and is honored to receive this award.
