Grant and Scholarship Awards
Since 1986, The Summit Foundation has awarded more than $16.4 million in grants and scholarships to nonprofit organizations that enrich and improve the lives of Summit County residents and guests in the areas of health and human service, art and culture, education, environment, sports and recreation, as well as in neighboring communities.
In 2012, The Summit Foundation and representative Donor Advised Funds distributed over $1.45 million in grants to 97 nonprofit organizations operating in Summit, Lake, Park and Grand Counties. In addition, $191,000 in scholarship funds was awarded to 101 local high school graduates pursing post-secondary degrees.
The Summit Foundation hosts an annual grant and scholarship awards reception in June. Awards recognize grants funded in the Fall and Spring cycles, as well as scholarships awarded. The program links below provide an overview of grants and scholarships awarded in those cycles.
