What happened in 1984? Steve Jobs introduced the first Macintosh computer; the film ‘Ghostbusters” was a hit on the big screen; we all watched “The Cosby Show”; Mary Lou Retton won gold at the Olympics; Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA” was our favorite song; Dodge released the first minivan; and The Summit Foundation was founded.
Founded in 1984 by the Breckenridge Ski Corporation, The Summit Foundation has awarded over $18.7 million in grants and scholarships over the past 30 years. Without the generosity of our local communities, ski resorts, donors, and volunteers, The Summit Foundation would not be where it is today. Because of this, we want to celebrate our 30th Anniversary.
Join us on Saturday March 29th at the Silverthorne Pavilion for a night celebrating The Summit Foundation and all who have been an integral part of our 30-year history.
Featuring delectable desserts from local pastry stars such as Ned Archibald of Keystone Resort, Katy Pierson of Sugar Breck, and Anna Sones of Higgles Ice Cream, as well as desserts provided by Butterhorn Bakery, the evening comprised of dessert, drinks and dancing will begin at 7pm. Enjoy delicious desserts, fun drinks, and then plenty of dancing with live music performed by the 6 Million Dollar Band. The 6 Million Dollar Band is known for their high energy performances of popular 80’s hits. They will be sure to have you dancing and singing along. We encourage guests to enjoy dinner before they come but please leave plenty of room for the amazing array of gourmet desserts.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here or by calling our office at 970.453.5970. Celebrate 30 years of The Summit Foundation by buying your tickets today!
